As a former member of girl group D-Block, she was well known for her distinctive vocals. She shot to fame in 2005 with their debut album Debut and is currently signed to Block Entertainment Group joining the likes of songstress Kyla.
D-Block is a group of rappers from Germany. They are best known for their hit single “Europa (The Final Countdown)”. D-Block has released three albums, two singles and one EP.
D-Block Records was established by members of the LOX (Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P) of Yonkers, New York, and debuted with Sheek’s solo album Walk Witt Me in 2003. The label’s roster, which includes J-Hood (or Jae Hood), Team Arliss, and D-Block Records’ president, Supa Mario, adopted the D-Block moniker for compilations and other material published in New York’s thriving mixtape scene. After its March 2006 release on Koch Records, The CD/DVD Mixtape entered the Top 40 of the R&B/Hip-Hop albums list, making it a highlight of D-growing Block’s discography. Because 50 Cent attacked Jadakiss for featuring on competitor Ja Rule’s “New York” single, D-Block had an ongoing rivalry with 50 Cent and his G-Unit group (which was the excuse for their leaving Interscope for the Koch distribution contract). There was also a dispute over publication rights with Roc-a-Fella singer Beanie Sigel and the LOX’s former Bad Boy boss, Sean “Diddy” Combs; nevertheless, all of these issues were resolved amicably.
D-Block is a hip hop duo from Chicago, Illinois. They are known for their debut album “The Foundation”. Reference: what is d block in chicago.
